Akron Forklifts sells new Bobcat, Clark, Noblelift, Sellick and Bulmor trucks. We also sell JLG and Genie aerial lifts and Kärcher floor care equipment. For used trucks, we sell quality-inspected units from all major makes, including Toyota, Hyster, Yale, Cat, Mitsubishi, Doosan and Crown. Because we carry several brands, we recommend what fits your job. Tell us the load, aisle width, lift height, floor and duty cycle. We will tell you which truck fits.

Akron Forklifts sells new forklifts in Summit, Stark, Portage, Medina and Wayne counties. That includes Akron, Canton, Cuyahoga Falls, Kent, Medina and Wooster. In Cuyahoga County, including Cleveland, we sell quality-inspected used forklifts only. We also rent, service, maintain and train in Cuyahoga County.

Yes. We offer daily, weekly, monthly and long-term forklift rentals across Northeast Ohio. Renting is often the smarter choice. It works well for seasonal peaks, a project with a set end date, covering a truck that is down, or trying a truck class before you buy. We will also tell you when buying makes more sense.

Choosing new or used depends more on hours and duty cycle than on budget. A quality used truck costs less up front and suits moderate-duty work well. Multi-shift work, or a job where downtime is costly, usually calls for a new truck with a full warranty. In our new-sales counties, we can quote both for the same job so you can compare them side by side.

Yes. Our technicians service all major makes, not only the brands we sell new. We handle repairs and planned maintenance agreements across Northeast Ohio. Most operations run mixed fleets after a few years of buying. For them, one service partner for every make saves time and paperwork.

Yes. We provide OSHA operator training and evaluation on your trucks, in your building. Ohio private employers fall under federal OSHA. OSHA 1910.178 requires operators to be trained and evaluated before they drive a powered industrial truck. Operators must be re-evaluated at least every three years, and sooner after an incident or a change of equipment.
